MM-5355D
Presentation
The
MM-5355D is a 64-bit/33MHz 6U CompactPCI memory
buffer capable of burst mode accesses at the
full bus bandwidth at 33MHz. The peak transfer
rate is 264 MB/s and 240 MB/s sustained.
A PLD controls data management and provides
single error detection and double bits
detection.
Up to three mezzanines provide 512MB, 1GB, 2GB,
or up to 4GB of SDRAM with error detection and
correction.
The MM-5355D also has a 64-bit/33MHz PMC site
for on-board I/O: fibre (copper or network),
frame grabbers, A/D, or any rev. 2.1 PMC I/O
card.
Data transfers flow through a 64-bit PCI bridge
which supports a dual address cycle and allows
memory and an optional PMC card to be anywhere
in the 64-bit address space. This 64-bit address
space overcomes the 4GB limitation of the 32-bit
address configuration and 256MB limitation of
many 64-bit RISC processors. The bridge also
supports a secondary clock which provides
independent memory refresh regardless of the
host processor clock activity.
Reliability is ensured by burn-in and running
memory diagnostics that check operations for 48
hours while temperature-cycling boards from 0°
to 70° C. |
