Description
The MM-6140D is a 32-bit/33MHz PMC (PCI Mezzanine Card) memory buffer capable of burst mode accesses at the full bandwidth of 32-bit/33MHz PCI, which translates to a rate of up to 132 MB/sec.

The MM-6140D can be placed directly on any platform with a PMC connection. It is commonly used as a high speed buffer for fiber channels, DSPs, PowerPC, and Pentium SBCs. In many PMC applications, the maximum speeds on the memory read cycles can only be achieved by using Push/Push technology. This is accomplished with our on-board DMA initiator. Various drivers are included so that the card can also be used as a high speed RAMDisk.

The configurable space header of the MM-6140D returns a class code of 05h, indicating that it is a memory controller, and a sub-class code of 00h, indicating that it is a RAM module.

The MM-6140D is field upgradeable from 256MB to 512MB, by installing a mezzanine card.

Reliability is ensured by burn-in and running memory diagnostics that check operation for 48 hours while temperature-cycling boards from 0 to 70°C. Also, reliability is backed up by Micro Memory, LLC's 1 Year Warranty.
