The MM-6155D is a 64-bit/33MHz SDRAM PMC (PCI
Mezzanine Card) capable of burst mode transfers
of up to 264MB/s. PMC's have become the
standard form factor of choice for I/O on
today's high performance board level CompactPCI,
PCI, and VME cards. PMC's are electrically
equivalent to the traditional PCI bus. Most
CompactPCI and VME single board computers now
include one and often two PMC sites for flexible
I/O integration. The MM-6155D can easily
provide buffer expansion memory on cards with
PMC sites. The MM-6155D has a PLD that controls
data management and provides double bit error
detection and single bit correction. Instead of
just generating an interrupt, a specialized
Mailbox DMA notifies the host in host memory
when transfers are complete so the host does not
have to poll the status of the DMA.
Reliability is ensured by burn-in and running
memory diagnostics that check operations for 48
hours while temperature-cycling boards from 0°
to 70° C. |
