The MM-6190F is a
32-bit/33MHz PCI Mezzanine Card (PMC) that
utilizes NAND FLASH devices to provide up to 2GB
of non-volatile, solid state memory. This memory
technology combined with the Micro Memory
TrueFFS™ driver for the Vxworks® Operating
System makes the MM-6190F the optimum
non-volatile, solid state storage solution and
booting device. The
Micro Memory TrueFFS driver provides
wear-leveling to maximize the write-erase
limitations of FLASH, makes the memory appear as
a file system (hard disk) to the host, and maps
bad blocks (inherent to NAND Flash technology).
Before purchasing the Micro Memory TrueFFS
driver, you must submit proof of purchase for
the Windriver TrueFFS package. Unlike a PMC to PCMCIA
solution, the MM-6190F is only limited by the
access times of the FLASH memory devices and not
the PCMCIA connector pins. A DMA initiator is
utilized to maximize throughput and NAND FLASH
technology provides up to 250,000 write/erase
cycles. The card can also be reprogrammed in
place without ever removing it from the carrier
card. The MM-6190F
requires both 3.3V and 5V power and can handle
either 3.3V or 5V PCI signaling. Reliability is
ensured by burn-in and running memory
diagnostics that check operations while
temperature-cycling units. The card is offered in
a commercial version (MM-6190F) and an extended
temperature, conduction cooled version
(MM-6190FT). |
