Description

The MM-6780P is a user-configurable memory adapter that accepts combinations of CMOS NVRAM or Flash memory in PCMCIA Type I, II, or III formats. This adapter is compatible with VME Rev. C1.

The MM-6780P memory adapter has two pairs (four total) of 68-pin connectors that accept the PCMCIA cards. A front panel LED indicates when a memory card is properly seated in a connector. Independent front panel ejector releases the PCMCIA cards.

CMOS NVRAM memory cards have integral, replaceable, non- rechargeable batteries whose status is available on LEDs and from a control status register (CSR).

The Flash memory programming supply (+12V) is generated on the board, which requires only a +5V supply.

Reliability is ensured by burn-in and running memory diagnostics that check operation for 48 hours while temperature-cycling boards between 0 and 65°C.
